These tips are designed to address both internal balance and external skin health by nurturing the digestive system, supporting detoxification, and ensuring optimal hydration and nourishment


Grounded Body Type Dietary Recommendations & Skin Health Tips

Overview: The Grounded skin type tends to be oily, thick, and prone to congestion, dullness, and conditions like acne. A light, dry, and stimulating diet helps improve digestion, boost metabolism, and reduce oiliness.

Key Dietary Principles:

  • Focus on light, warm, and dry foods to counterbalance the Grounded types heavy, cool nature.
  • Choose foods that are naturally pungent, bitter, and astringent to stimulate digestion.
  • Avoid heavy, oily, and sugary foods that increase this body type's sluggishness.

Without proper diet, medicine is of no use. With proper diet, medicine is of no need.

Recommended Foods:

  1. Grains: Light grains like quinoa, barley, millet, corn, rye, oats and buckwheat. Avoid heavy or sticky grains like wheat or rice in excess.
  2. Vegetables: Light, bitter vegetables like leafy greens, asparagus, artichoke, potato, carrot, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, celery, peas, perpper, sprouts, whits pumpkin, zucchini, okra (only dry-fried non slimy preparation), green papaya, tomato, tender eggplant, and tenfer radish. Favor lightly cooked or raw vegetables.
  3. Fruits: Light, astringent fruits like pomegranates, cashew, jambu, grapes, persimmom, cranberries, raisons, figs, dates (best with honey), peaches, apples, papaya, guava.
  4. Dairy: Lassi, and buttermilk, low fat milk, small amounts of ghee and whole milk.
  5. Proteins: Light, lean proteins like lentils, chickpeas, white meat (chicken, turkey), and fish. Avoid red meat or fried foods.
  6. Oils: Use light oils like flaxseedmustard, corn, sesame or grapeseed oil in moderation. Avoid heavy oils like coconut oil.
  7. Nuts & Seeds: Minimize nuts and seeds due to their heaviness, but small amounts of pumpkin seeds or flaxseeds are beneficial.
